  • January 14, 2006 was the 2005 sponsorship appreciation and hospitality dinner hosted by Megan Reitenour Racing, LLC in Miamisburg, Ohio.
The evening began with a meet and greet and  hors d'oeuvres, followed by a presentation and review given by Bill Reitenour which included Megan's accomplishments throughout her life and racing career. The presentation also touched on their five year plan and the benefits of being a sponsor with Megan Reitenour Racing, LLC.
Megan was then given the opportunity to address the crowd expressing her words of appreciation for all their encouragement and support over the years. Following the presentation and speech, a gourmet banquet was served and Megan signed autographs throughout the evening. She said "it was fun to get to spend time and talk about racing with her sponsors and guests."  Her Legend car was on display just outside for everyone to get an up close look at as they walked into the banquet.

Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and thanks to many friends and family the event was a complete success!!
  • The 2005 INEX National Banquet was held at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina on January 21,2006.
In spite of overcoming obstacles on the way to the event including losing power steering and brakes on our vehicle and ultimately borrowing a vehicle to get to the event, we safety arrived in North Carolina in time for the banquet. The fun we had attending the banquet definitely outweighed the challenges!!

Richard Burke, General Manager of 600 Racing, started out with an introductory speech followed by the invocation and served dinner.  After dinner, Ken Reagan, Director of 600 Racing had the pleasure of introducing the guest speaker for the event, Mr. Jack Roush. He spoke about his start in racing, the importance of good sportsmanship, being a good role model, and persistence in reaching your dreams.
The awards ceremony came next with Megan bringing home the hardware for the Ohio State Champion and fifth place national ranking (137 drivers) in the Bandolero series.  This was Megan's 2nd consecutive Ohio State Championship.
After the event we had the pleasure of staying for some recreational activities. We visited several race shops and, of course, found time to take in several "fun races with the go karts" and visit 600 Racing to purchase more equipment to get ready for the 2006 season.
