Megan Reitenour secures ride in the Outlaw Super Late Model Series. She will be competing a full season in Friday night main event races at M-40 Speedway in Jones, MI and some other selected Sat night races as well.
These Outlaw Super Late Model race cars are 2700 lbs. with 725 hp. engines. These cars being much different than what she has raced in the past but Reitenour is definitely no stranger to adapting to the many different series she has competed in, this being her seventh one overall.
M-40 Track Promoter, Tony Eldridge said, "Megan did a great job while testing and racing here. She was fast right out of the chute. She is certainly a driver. It's a win win situation for us all. Our hope is to add more diversity to the sport and more fans in our stands by having her race here.
Reitenour will also be appearing in a weekly television show called, Michiana Speedzone. This show will be filmed during the races at M-40 Speedway where Megan will be one of the featured drivers in the show.
Megan said, "I'm really excited and grateful for this opportunity. With funding restrictions, it's been a long time since I have been able to run a full season of racing and we are glad to be back on the track with Logistics By Bontreger. These race cars are different than what I have raced in the past. They run different tires, the cars are lighter and wider, with a lot of horse power under the hood. With any new series there is a great deal to learn but it feels great to be back on the track and I'm confident in the challenges ahead of us."
